In April 2024, Marhaba Matluba became a member of the Bangladesh Institute of Maritime Research and Development (BIMRAD). She received her bachelor's and master's degrees in Oceanography from the University of Dhaka. Her outstanding academic performance has earned her the esteemed Deans Award.

 

She possesses strong research knowledge in the areas of pollution and the marine environment. One of the most prestigious international journals has published her work on microplastic pollution in the marine ecosystem. She is currently focusing on climate change, marine environment and pollution, blue economy, and ocean management.
