Participation in BIPSS Roundtable on ‘UN peacekeeping Operations @75: The Roads Ahead’

Bangladesh Institute of Peace and Security Studies (BIPSS) organizes a monthly roundtable on a contemporary geopolitical issue. The most recent one, held on 22nd June 2023, focused on ‘UN peacekeeping Operations @75: The Roads Ahead’.

 

A panel of experts comprising three distinguished speakers discussed the given topic. Dr Iftekhar Ahmed Chowdhury, Former Advisor, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Government of Bangladesh; Lt Gen Abdul Hafiz (Retd), former Chief of General Staff of Bangladesh Army; and Dr. Niloy Ranjan Biswas, Associate Professor at the Department of International Relations, University of Dhaka, spoke at the event as panelists. The speakers outlined the multidimensional challenges and the future implications of the peacekeeping operations. BIPSS President Maj Gen ANM Muniruzzaman, ndc, psc (retd) moderated the roundtable. Nur Ahmed, Research Officer (Maritime Affairs and Security), represented BIMRAD at the roundtable.
