The first episode of BIMRAD Lecture Series was organized by the Commander Chattogram Naval Area on October 31, 2022 at the Multipurpose Hall, BNS ISSA KHAN. The special lecture was delivered by the renowned maritime security expert Dr. David Halstead Brewster, Senior Research Fellow, Australian National University. He delivered the lecture on the theme of ‘Geostrategic Contours of the Bay of Bengal’. The Director General (DG) of BIMRAD, Captain Mohammad Minarul Hoque, (H), BCGM, psc, BN delivered the opening remark of the program. This distinguished event was attended by Rear Admiral Nazmul Hassan, OSP, NPP, ndc, ncc, psc  - Commander Chattogram Naval Area, Rear Admiral Mir Ershad Ali, OSP, NPP, ndc, psc - Commander BN Fleet and other officers of the Chattogram Naval Area.
