In anticipation of the United Nations Ocean Conference 2025, scheduled to be held in Nice, the Embassy of France in Bangladesh organized a seminar to convene the key actors in the Blue Economy sector. The seminar brought together researchers, academicians, development partners, and practitioners from various government and non-government organizations to discuss the present state and future prospects of the Blue Economy in Bangladesh.

Rear Admiral Khurshed Alam (Retd) delivered an insightful presentation providing an overview of the Blue Economy initiatives and opportunities in Bangladesh. The Director General of BIMRAD highlighted the organization's ongoing activities and expressed a strong interest in working collaboratively with other stakeholders to achieve the vision of a developed maritime Bangladesh.

DG BIMRAD presented the Ambassador of France with a crest and BIMRAD's recent publications, highlighting the organization's commitment to maritime research and development.
