On September 9 2019, His Excellency Ambassador of Netherlands to Bangladesh Mr. Harry Verweij had a call on with Chairman of BIMRAD Admiral Nizamuddin Ahmed, NBP, OSP, BCGM, ndc, psc (retd) at premise of BIMRAD. His Excellency (HE) Ambassador of Netherlands also discussed with the DG, Director and other officials of BIMRAD. During the discussion HE mentioned about the trade, economy, cultural connectivity between Bangladesh and Netherlands. He also mentioned that Netherlands is interested to work with Bangladesh concerning climate change adaptation, river erosion, coastal livelihood approach etc. He stressed upon importance of the private sectors’ initiatives apart from Govt. initiatives.  Chairman and DG of BIMRAD mentioned about possible cooperation of BIMRAD with different think tanks and organizations of Netherlands concerning EU flagship project under Horizon 2021-2027 as well as other issues regarding marine pollution, climate change adaptation, etc.
