The Director General of BIMRAD, Cdre Kazi Emdadul Haq, BSP, ndu, psc, BN (retd) participated as a keynote speaker in the Conference on ‘Belt and Road Initiative and Indo-Pacific Strategy (IPS): Opportunities and Challenges’ on 13th January 2020 in Colombo, Sri Lanka. It is noted that the main focus and the driving questions of that conference were to discuss on the Implementation and Challenges of BRI, the IPS and its Implications and Maritime Disputes & Cooperation in Indian Ocean. In his speech at the conference, the DG, BIMRAD highlighted on crucial issues related to the maritime security and strategies in the Indian Ocean like, Indo-Pacific Strategy (IPS), I-P Security, contemporary non-traditional maritime threats etc.
