H. E Mr. Robert Maurice French Chatterton Dickson, British High Commissioner in Bangladesh paid a visit to Bangladesh Institute of Maritime Research and Development (BIMRAD) on 14 November 2019. During the visit, possible area of maritime co-operation among British High Commission and BIMRAD was the main core of discussion. The British High Commissioner stressed upon collective effort for the exploitation and conversation of marine resources in the Bay of Bengal and Indian Ocean. He also mentioned that as Bangladesh is vulnerable to climate change so Bangladesh and a developed country like United Kingdom could jointly work concerning the mitigation and adaptation strategies to deal with impact of climate change. During the discussion, Chairman BIMDAD Admiral Nizamuddin Ahmed, NBP, OSP, BCGM, ndc, psc (retd) pointed the scope of Bangladesh Institute of Maritime Research and Development to work in collaboration with the development organization of UK concerning research and policy advocacy for the sustainable blue economy development of both the countries and the BoB littorals including pollution control, resources sharing, training, attending conference etc. Mr. Hooman Nouruzi, Director
