Commodore (Retd) Syed Misbah Uddin Ahmad, Director General of Bangladesh Institute of Maritime Research and Development (BIMRAD) called on Indian High Commissioner Pranay Verma on Thursday at the High Commissioner’s office in Dhaka.
Commodore (Retd) Syed Misbah Uddin Ahmad, Director General of Bangladesh Institute of Maritime Research and Development (BIMRAD) had a meeting with Pranay Verma, Indian High Commissioner to Bangladesh on Thursday.
The DG of BIMRAD informed Pranay Verma about different roles being played by BIMRAD. Commodore (Retd) Syed Misbah Uddin Ahmad and Indian High Commissioner Pranay Verma exchanged views on further expanding mutual cooperation between India and Bangladesh in the field of maritime research.
Pranay Verma expressed hope that both countries can work together to further explore maritime prospects and utilize the potentialities of blue economy which would be beneficial for both India and Bangladesh.
The DG of BIMRAD spoke very high of India’s affiliations with the development journey of Bangladesh since independence. Moreover, Commodore (Retd) Syed Misbah Uddin Ahmad extended his gratitude to the Indian High Commissioner for his time and keen interest in the activities of BIMRAD.
It may be added that BIMRAD is a research-oriented organization patronized by Bangladesh Navy (BN) located inside BN Headquarters in Banani, Dhaka.
