The Director General of BIMRAD, Cdre Kazi Emdadul Haq, (L), BSP, ndu, psc, BN (retd) participated as a keynote speaker in the Indo-Pacific Regional Dialogue (IPRD-2019) organised by the National Maritime Foundation, New Delhi, India held on 5-6 March 2019. The DG, BIMRAD presented a research paper on “Bimstec connectivity models: status, expectations, opportunities, challenges and a recommended way ahead plan”. In his presentation he stressed upon the significance of maritime connectivity among the BIMSTEC member countries and maritime security issue in the Bay of Bengal. The DG, BIMRAD also focused on the prospects of maritime connectivity and multimodal connectivity among the littoral countries followed by policy recommendations to strengthen the tie among the BIMSTEC nations to foster the socio-economic development.
